My little guy's first day of school....My oldest son started 1st grade yesterday. He's never been apart from me for more than about 2 hours, so I hope he has fun at school and makes lots of friends. He was exited to go to school for the first time, but the night before he got scared and he kept saying, "Mama, I don't think I can be without you for 7 hours!!" Poor sweetie. When I picked him up he said "I don't like school!" His main complaint is that they don't let him talk!I think it's just going to take a little getting used to! LOL! He didn't complain about going to school today, so I think it's going to be o.k.

Hey there! Thank you for adding my blog. I have gotton alot of inspiration from all the collages you've shown. It makes me think I need to get to doing some altered art and scrapbooking. I love your dress also. I actually own mostly long dresses b/c it's so easy when you have kids. Instead of having to put an outfit together you can just through a piece outfit on. Love your blog!

Oh, how sweet is that! The first week of school is the hardest for these little guys. I'm sure each day will get better and better.

I'm so silly. I didn't clarify that I would be sending them to school when they are 5 but I'm just having the breakdown already. I want to be prepared. Thank you for all of the advice.

Bless your son's heart! It is so hard for little ones to figure out the whole school thing, heavens, won't let us talk? No wonder all of us talk so much as adults! We were told to be quiet all through school...

Hope your doing OK without out your precious little boy during the day, it hurts our hearts when they aren't happy.

XO,
Donna Lynn

Your little boy is so cute and grown up going to school. I remember on the first day of school when my daughter was in kindergarten and first grade, I came home and cried! I missed her and the house was so empty! It will get easier but you'll always miss him. :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Blessings, Victoria Lynn

I have 20 little ones with lunchboxes, new hair, new clothes, and worried eyes, enter my room each year. I teach primary grades. Today I got 20 tired little kids out the door, it's only the second week, but some were still happy at the end of the day, not as tired and felt better about when they could chit chat and when we needed to listen. I even heard one "I love you!", and two chimed in "But I don't want to go home now." I love what I do, but the beginning of school seems so long to the little ones! I hope by the second week your son is engaged, enthusiastic and excited about school. Sometimes it takes a week or more to adjust to the routine and sharing time with oodles of others! Take heart! His happy face and loving his home and Mommy are signs that this little guy has it all going for him! Sometimes my heart sinks, and I wish all children were so lucky!
