Pretty inspiration...
Hello girls! Remember how I was going to buy some aqua paint for my bedroom makeover? Well, I did buy some.... and I painted the whole room.... and it's just way to bright and too blue. So I'll have to find a better color- hopefully one that looks a lot like the one in the photo below.
I love this bedroom so much!!! It's from the book "Garden Style" by Better Homes and Gardens. I think the very pale aqua color is just what I want. The vintage floral prints on the bed are so pretty! I love how they used the garden trellis and plant stand for display. This photo is from the same book. I have drooled over this photo for over 10 years now and I just noticed that I now have two of the lovely McCoy pieces that are in this photo, the swan and one of the flower pots! Anway, just sharing some lovely vintage style decorating inspiration while I try and sort out my painting problems.
Michelle xoxo

I used a similar color for my living room and it was called icy pond by Benjamin Moore. It is the prettiest palest blue.

Hi :) I LOVE that bedroom in the photo you showed...you can get lots of inspiration and ideas from it! I may have to keep an eye out for that particular book...lots of pretty eye candy to behold between it's pages!

Warmest always, Brenda

Hi sweet Michelle,
I have that book and love those photos too! Thank you for sharing the beautiful inspiration! I know you will find the perfect shade of aqua. I am always amazed at how dark a color can end up looking on the walls once it is dried. So don't be discouraged, you will get the right shade. It is so neat you have those two same pieces of pottery! Love, Paula

Hi Michelle!
Oh gosh I have that book and its one of my favorites! That photo is bookmarked and raggedy from looking at it so much :-) It actually inspired me to find a couple shabby garden trellises which are fun to display so many things!
It was like a deja vous when I saw it!
I hope you find just the right shade of blue - or you could even give the wall a whitewash glaze over the darker shade you painted already.
Hugs and Smiles,
Lynn

Michelle, would you believe this bedroom belongs to my good pal Peg of French Vanilla. She's longed changed her look and does more creams and white and industrial. This picture was always my favorite and when she told me it was hers I couldn't believe it. If you've been to Marburger you've probably seen her booth.

I really like the bedroom picture. And in the picture with the pottery....I spotted a vintage planter ( the bird one). I have the same planter except in blue.
