Happy....
I love collecting! I collect so many things. One of the funnest things for me to find are vintage toys, children's books and baby items. They are just so cute and whenever I see them around my home they make me happy!
Ever since I first saw Jenny's cute vintage pianos (here and here and here)I wanted to find one of my own. I was so happy to find this toy piano, but it was an ugly dark brown wood. I painted it a cheerful aqua blue color and I think it turned out pretty cute, but I may not be finished with it yet...
This sweet baby sheet was made by my husband's dear grandmother. I was so happy to have it passed down to me. She was excellent at embroidery. The back looks as good as the front. It was an extra treat that it has bluebirds because I also collect anything with sweet vintage bluebirds on it! I'll have to show you that collection another day.
This copy of "A Child's Garden of Verses" has one of the prettiest covers I've seen! It's copyright is 1917.What do you love to collect? What is it in your home that makes your heart happy every time you see it?

Michelle, that little piano is adorable...i love it...and the embroidered heirloom is so sweet, what a treasure...what don't i collect is a better question...i am so bad at collecting, i get a few of a certain thing...and then i am on to the next thing...i really admire people who amass large collections of one or two things...i wish i could be more focused...
i also collect and just love vintage baby goods!! the colors and characters are so dainty. they really don't make things like they used to!

Oh Michelle I love the little piano! I think you painted it the perfect color! I collect old mirrors and I recently started collecting sweet vintage remembrance books. Have a great weekend!
Hi sweet Michelle,
I love to collect the same things you do, just as you said, they are cute, and they make me happy too! I love the piano and the new color! You did a wonderful job painting it, and creating such a sweet vignette with the little doll, music sheet and basket with doilies! I love the bluebird sheet your husband's grandmother embroidered! What a treasure that is! I would love to see your bluebird collection! I have one vintage teacup with bluebirds on it. They are very hard to find around here. The book is wonderful, such a beautiful cover! I love Robert Louis Stevenson! Thank you for all the loveliness you share! Love, Paula… some of the things in my home that make me the happiest are the gifts dear friends have made for me and lovingly picked out for me!
Happy Friday and weekend! xoxo

What do I collect? (A lot of dust...) White pitchers. Old family photos sadly relegated to antique malls. Lots of red and white quilts. Blue and white transferware. Vintage cookie cutters. And old crocks. This is my first visit. Just stumbled upon your lovely blog and am quickly bookmarking before I forget!

We have a lot in common, we both have painted pianos(hee hee) and we both love a Child's Garden of Verses. I have that on display in my nursery and I love looking at it. Lisa~
