Organizing and Creating...
Hello Friends!Sorry I was gone so very long! I never intend to take long absences from my blog, but sometimes life gets busy and sometimes I'm just in a funk. This time it was a bit of both. Our house is just now recovering from Christmas and I've been spending a lot of time trying to purge and organize, too. Organization feels so good and I've been finding things I forgot I had! I'm not a resolution kind of girl since those always go downhill for me after about one day! I do, however, have a couple of goals for this year.
1} Organize my home so that everything has a place. Hopefully that will lead to a prettier home with less mess and less time going crazy looking for things.
2} Create! Make pretty things! It just makes my heart so happy! (I have made almost nothing since just before my littlest was born nearly 3 years ago and I miss it so!)
I've redone my little living room corner. I still adore my gorgeous aqua door. It makes such a pretty backdrop for everything! And my wicker chair. I love piling it with pretty, cushy, vintage pillows! All of these lovelies were presents my sweet mama has given me in the past. The embroidered lady is from an antique store. The white one my mama made from an old runner. And the ticking pillow was once my grandmothers. This magazine rack is my most recent Goodwill find. It was a dark green, so I painted it lovely white. Now the details really stand out and I love the way it looks against the aqua wall. I've got lots more to show you in the next post. Hopefully, I will get some pretty Valentines Day goodies made to show you by then, too. I'm linking up with Debra at Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday.
Michelle xoxo

Ahhhh look at all these gorgeous pictures! I'm with you! Have been organizing like crazy. Must be the fresh new year. I recently completely redid my whole studio. A lot of work but it made me so happy to do it.
Have a great weekend!

I love that magazine rack! I was looking for an old door the other day to use as a backdrop for Etsy photos. Sadly, nothing was half as perfect as your aqua door.

Oh it's so good to see a post from you Michelle. I have always loved your beautiful aqua door.
You and I have been pinning so many of the same things lately, so I still felt like I knew what you were up to :)

Oh my goodness. Just ran across you on Flickr and I am still speechless. You need to publish a book on decorating and paper art with your talent. Yep, still speechless!
