Egg hunting and house cleaning....A fun Easter was had by all here at our house. It was my 3-year-old's first time dying Easter eggs and he loved it!The boys had the best time hunting for eggs!
Today I am busy cleaning my little cottage in preparation for my parent's visit. They are coming to stay for a week or so and I can't wait! Here is a photo of my sweet Mama and me. We always have the best time and we always visit our favorite antique stores when she visits. This time I will bring along my camera and show you some photos of some of my favorite antique stores!
Well, I'm off to scrub and clean.... if only I had this cute red and white polka dress to wear while I 'm doing so!

Happy Easter!! Welcome Spring!!Just a few photos of my hutch decorated for Easter and Spring!! These are a few of my favorite things...
Pretty spools of thread, vintage flowers, sparkling belt buckles, a vintage clock....
a sweet bunny, chintz, lovely and sweet vintage cards.....
my McCoy vase in the perfect shade of aqua blue and a favorite vintage corsage flower...
more sweet vintage postcards and a sweet pink and blue pie bird that I adore.....
a lovely rose pitcher and sweet vintage teacup............a sweet little girl all ready for an Easter egg hunt and pretty plate and creamy vase....a gorgeous heart made from the prettiest rose fabric my sweet mama made for me......
and lastly, a thrift store find, this lovely birdcage! It was an awful dark green so I painted it a pretty shade of aqua blue and how perfect that it came with the sweet pink birdie already inside!! (and I just realized I forgot to take out the ugly old dark green feeder cups and reattach the bottom of the cage! I get so impatient when I want to photograph things!) Hope you all have a wonderful Easter day with your families and happy Springtime to you!!

Happy Easter!!Who me? No photos of a hutch decorated for Easter? The girl who redecorates her hutch at least every couple of weeks? Surely, there must be some mistake! Easter is two days away! Well, I'll see what I can do about that. For now, here are a couple of sweet Easter postcards. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you I haven't posted for so long because my computer was broken, but all is well with it now (hopefully!) so will be posting more soon!

At Home with White.....It is one of my favorite books. I love all the shades of white together mixed with different textures like wicker and painted wood. I also love white when it's put together with silver and lace and roses! And here are a few photos of white around my home. Here is a button wreath that I made with mostly vintage buttons.

More vintage buttons on a transferware plate that I love....some white seashells......vintage buttons and millinery flowers....
my white hutch full of white treasures....
and my collection of vintage chandelier crystals, which of course are not white, but look pretty with white.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Monday, February 11, 2008

Some days there won't be a song in your heart. Sing anyway.

A new collage I made with this great quote that I love. And just a few of the sweet goodies my sweet Mama sent for Valentines Day! She also sent glitter and delicious chocolates and more crafty goodies, too! I'm so spoiled! Isn't the little saucer so pretty and I love the curly bird and aren't the feathers just the sweetest shades of blue and pink??
And to help put a song in your heart today, a free image from my personal collection to use in your artwork!
And do you know about The Graphics Fairy? She shares a new free image to use in your artwork every day on her blog!

Happy Birthday, Mama!!It's almost my sweet Mama's birthday, so I have been making birthday cards!
I also created a collage with a photo of her and her mama! Isn't it such a fun, sweet, happy photo? They look so happy! I love using vintage photos, but old family photos are my favorite to work with.

And one more collage of her as the cupcake fairy!
And look at this! A gorgeous bits n' pieces collage from my dear friend Melfie!! I LOVE it!! Look at all that pretty vintage wallpaper she used! Yumm!! And that vintage bling!! Thank you, Mel!!

And here are a few photos from around the cottage!

I love these Rachel Ashwell pillow shams I found at the good will for $7 for the pair!

I'm in the mood for LOVE...........

so I have been working on some Valentines.......
and doing some decorating!!

I love Valentine's Day!! All the sparkle and red and pink and hearts and chocolates... oh, and that love stuff, too of course! I love how my Mary Engelbreit decor always seems to go with my favorite holiday decorations! My sweetie husband and I don't really do anything for the holiday- but why should we? He makes me feel like his beloved Valentine everyday of the year! I LOVE YOU, SWEETIE!! I do, however, always decorate and bake special Valentine cookies and I have the kids make Valentines for their daddy! How do you celebrate Valentine's Day?

Finally, I'm back! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!! I did! It was so great to see all of both my and my husband David's family this year!! We took our boys to the see the snow for the very first time and they had a blast! My 3-year-old giggled almost the entire time!! I have lots of photos to share, but they are on David's laptop right now, so for now I will just share a pic of my favorite present I received this year.
